A Light for Our City

Who We Are

Illuminations Ministries is a faith-based community outreach organization launching in Jersey City, New Jersey. Founded by Boyd Wilson—a 12-year Jersey City resident, licensed minister, and seasoned corporate executive—we are rooted in a simple conviction: the most effective community initiatives are those that show up consistently, serve practically, and illuminate the neighborhoods they live in.

As a brand-new organization preparing for our official Fall 2026 launch, we are actively building strategic partnerships with local government, community leaders, and civic organizations to serve the families of Jersey City with world-class excellence.

Our Vision & Values

We exist to spread the light of Jesus throughout Jersey City, focusing our immediate efforts on two historically vibrant yet overlooked areas: Greenville and the West Side. We execute this mission through three core operational pillars:

● We GATHER in Community: Building trust and relational equity through practical, tangible service.
● We GROW in Faith: Moving conversations from surface-level to soul-level through consistent, authentic relationships.
● We GLOW for Jesus: Acting as Christ’s hands and feet on the street, ensuring our civic presence brings measurable transformation to local blocks.

Core Launch Initiatives

Starting in September 2026, our teams will deploy across the city through three highly visible, recurring tracks:

● Adopt the Block: Monthly neighborhood litter cleanups and beautification projects designed to restore neighborhood pride, build civic equity, and show care for our local spaces.
● Mobile Hydration Stations: Specialized all-terrain wagons deployed at local transit hubs, parks, and corner stores—meeting a basic physical need by providing free water while opening the door for meaningful personal connection.
● The Lighthouse: A monthly, pressure-free evening fellowship (2nd Friday, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM) where neighbors from all walks of life can gather to discuss real-life struggles, ask questions, and experience genuine community.

Governance & Fiscal Accountability

We believe that spiritual vision must be backed by administrative excellence. To ensure the highest level of financial transparency and stewardship from Day 1, Illuminations Ministries operates under a strict compliance framework:

● Legal Structure: Officially registered New Jersey Non-Profit Organization with an active Federal Employer Identification Number (EIN).
● Fiscal Sponsorship: Fully partnered with Christian Ministries Alliance (CMA) for national 501(c)(3) legal coverage, comprehensive financial oversight, and donor tax-deductibility.
● Operational Model: Bound to a disciplined 10-10-80 financial structure (10% dedicated to wider missions, 10% held in reserve savings, and 80% directly funding local street operations).

Partner With Us

We are currently scheduling introductory meetings with civic leaders, municipal representatives, and faith leaders to coordinate our Fall launch calendar. We welcome opportunities to collaborate on local cleanups, resource distribution, and community advocacy.
