The Barton Botswana Music Project is dedicated to creating opportunities for children and young people in Botswana through music education.
Our mission is simple: to put musical instruments into the hands of aspiring musicians and provide access to quality music instruction, regardless of their financial circumstances.
Founded by Todd LaBrie, who spent many years in the musical instrument manufacturing and distribution industry, the project combines a lifelong passion for music with a commitment to helping underserved communities.
Working with Kingdom Arts Academy in Botswana, our initial focus is providing scholarships for students who otherwise could not afford music lessons. As the project grows, we hope to supply instruments, support church music programs, and help develop sustainable music education opportunities throughout the country.
We believe music has the power to inspire confidence, build community, nurture creativity, and change lives.
Our goal is not simply to provide instruments or lessons, but to create opportunities that will last for generations.
The Barton Botswana Music Project serves underprivileged children and young people in the greater Gaborone area of Botswana who have demonstrated an interest in music, including those who participate in or aspire to participate in church worship music programs. Our focus is on providing access to musical instruments, instruction, and educational opportunities for young people whose financial circumstances might otherwise prevent them from pursuing their musical interests and developing their talents.
