THE PRIMARY MISSION OF CHRIST HOPE IS TO PROVIDE A CARING CHRISTIAN HOME AND TO FEED HUNGRY ORPHANS:

My name is Liton Das and this is a story about orphans in rural Bangladesh. I live in a rural village in the Satkhira District. I need help to care for the orphaned and needy children in my care. Without consistent monthly funding the children can’t have a regular and healthy diet. 

I need people to pray for the children and to ask God to supply for their needs. The Christian families in our village have sheltered these precious children in buildings at their homes, because most were homeless street children from our district. They had no permanent place to stay nor adults to care for them.

Bangladesh is a poor country with many orphans. I went from village to village to find them and provide for them. I am looking for gifts from Christians to help me with the 40 children in my care. Because of poverty in my country and lack of any governmental aid, there is little help to care for and feed orphans nutritious food.  A recent government coup has created an unstable government and high inflation.  We desperately need more regular monthly sponsors!

SPIRITUAL NEEDS PROVIDED:

I teach the children the Words of Jesus and the Bible. The purpose of my life is to lead children to the path of light shown by Jesus and build them up as disciples of Jesus. I want to create a special place for my orphaned children and create a safe world where they can study the Bible and grow in godliness. There is no church in our village, so in good weather we sit under the open sky to pray, sing and listen to the Word of God. These 40 children are all receptive to the Holy Spirit of Jesus and they love to praise God!

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

You can send financial gifts to help feed and clothe the children.  One time gifts or recurring monthly gifts will be a blessing to our ongoing work.  We need about $190/week to feed 40 children.  Right now the need is urgent for more finances to buy food as the children grow.  Inflation is making it difficult to provide all that they need.  Special gifts or regular monthly giving will provide “daily bread” for these needy orphans.  

SPECIAL MATCHING GRANT ORPHANAGE FUNDRAISER

Thanks to a generous donor, there is a $15,000 matching grant to purchase land and build a children’s home above the flood plane in the Sitkhara District that won’t be flooded during the annual rainy season.   Total needed was $32,000.

PRAISE GOD THE LAND HAS BEEN PURCHASED!  Now about $9000 is still needed to build 4 buildings (kitchen, dining hall, multi-purpose hall & bathrooms for a permanent home for the children.  Gifts given today can still qualify for the amount remaining from the $15,000 matching grant.
