My name is Joyce LaCourse and I’ve been involved with the Freedom In Christ material since 2011.  My husband and I have two daughters whom we adopted as babies and are now high school and college ages.  I’m a bible school graduate who lacked discipleship myself and therefore became ineffective for the kingdom and miserable in my walk with the Lord.

From my personal journey to seeing it in many others around me, discipleship is a core foundational experience desperately needed for growth and maturity as a believer.  I believe this was designed to be done in community, whether that be in-person or online.  Discipleship is relational which takes time for trust to build and influence to a beneficial outcome.

The Freedom In Christ Ministry Southern Maine takes the mission of discipleship to the body of Christ.  This is done through in-person and online courses in identity, understanding grace and leadership.  The courses have ministry components where participants engage in resolving personal and spiritual conflicts through repentance releasing them on to growth and maturity for the kingdom.
