Learn More About Us

Tracey and Jennifer were called to the Glenwood Iowa area in 2017 from across the river in SE Nebraska.  They live in the country between the communities of Glenwood and Council Bluffs Iowa, and just across the river from Bellevue NE. They are joined by their daughter Jocelyn and their two Golden Retrievers on their acreage in the Loess Hills.  They love their chickens, ducks and other farm animals; as well as their strolls through the forest in the bluffs.  They enjoy gardening and providing for others in their abundance. God put the Colgrove’s on a mission from the moment they stepped foot in SW Iowa.  Tracey and Jennifer helped to plant a church in East Mills County where a healthy gospel preaching, Spirit filled church was greatly needed.  Tracey started a mens’s group in his church, and later started a kingdom mens’ group in near by Red Oak. Tracey was called shortly after to serve the church in a Pastoral residency capacity.  He has just finished his 2 1/2 year stay at the church that is thriving on the other side of the county.  The Colgrove’s, from the day they moved here have felt a burden for the people of SW Iowa, especially the Glenwood area.  Tracey and Jen have lead a small group in the Glenwood area since 2018, and Tracey has also started a mens’s group last September in Glenwood. Jen also currently attends a women’s bible study. The Colgrove’s are now stepping into planting a new kind of church, a marketplace ministry for the people.  A place where you can grab a great cup of coffee and roll, and have an amazing conversation with those from the surrounding area.  A place that your not treated as a customer but as family.  Where you walk in and feel like you are in the comfort of your home.  Tracey and Jennifer hope The Light House Cooperative will be a place where the gospel is regularly spoken, where the love of Christ is regularly shared, and where Jesus is the light that shines brightly out into a community in need, so the darkness fleets.  We are so thankful and blessed that you may be considering partnering with us.  Whether it be financial, prayer, or another type of gift; God has blessed us over the years with such giving people as ministry partners.  God bless you!

Our Programs & Who We Serve

We now have 2 Light House locations. Our original location is in Glenwood, serving SW Iowa and now in Olde Towne Bellevue in Southeast NE. We are called to love and serve the people in this these communities near the Omaha-Council Bluffs Metro.  Glenwood is unique as the  County seat of Mills County Iowa.  The city is growing because of it’s location near the metro, and has close-by amenities; but all the small town charm. The Olde Towne Bellevue location is an up and coming, changing neighborhood with a small town feel.  One common factor is the poverty and need that comes from both of these locations. Matthew 5:14-16 is our Mission verse.  Being a Light in our locations as people come from near and far.  We also want that Light to go out from our places. We want to be the light of Jesus.  We want to build meaningful relationships based on trust and kindness. We hope to put discipleship and mentorship at the forefront of who we are and what we do at The Light House.

Pray with us

As we continue to move into our new location for The Light House in Olde Towne Bellevue, and continue to build on our home base in Glenwood, Iowa; we are asking for prayers for full provision in coming months for the ministry.   We need to furnish the ministry house on the downtown square however God see's fit. By donations of new or used furniture, as well as financial provision.  We need prayers for financial provision for rent and utilities as well as miscellaneous items for start up costs.  We need prayer that we can be doing food drops, multiplying our bread program in Bellevue as well as doing our pay-it-forwards.

We are also praying for ministry partners to step out in support for our prayer room, helpers for coffee and food, cleaners, and teachers and ministry leaders to step out.

Last we are praying that The Light House Cooperative is an active outreach in the community and that the Holy Spirit is a guiding light in leading the harvest, as well as laborers affiliated with the ministry actively going out and being a light to the community.
