Who We Are
Redemptus is a cultural foundation being established in Spain, dedicated primarily to
filmmaking and the arts from a Christian worldview.
We believe stories do more than entertain. They shape the imagination, influence culture, and
help form the way people understand themselves, others, and the world around them.
Our work is rooted in the conviction that the Christian calling extends into every sphere of
human life. From the beginning, God entrusted humanity with the responsibility to cultivate,
develop, and steward His creation. This Cultural Mandate includes the cultivation of
knowledge, creativity, art, and culture for the flourishing of human society and the glory of
God.
For this reason, Redemptus seeks to serve culture through stories that reflect the truth of the
Christian worldview while engaging audiences with artistic excellence, intellectual integrity,
and genuine human depth.
What We Do
Redemptus exists to develop, support, and produce highquality films and audiovisual projects
that explore the human condition and all of creation from a Christian worldview.
We seek stories that take seriously truth, beauty, human dignity, responsibility, justice,
sacrifice, forgiveness, and redemption. We believe Christian storytelling should not be
defined by propaganda or simplistic answers, but by compelling narratives, complex
characters, artistic excellence, and an honest engagement with reality.
Our aim is to help build a sustainable cultural ecosystem where filmmakers, writers, artists,
and creative professionals can develop meaningful projects with professional standards while
remaining faithful to their convictions.
Why Redemptus
The name Redemptus comes from the Latin word meaning “redeemed.” Redemption speaks
of rescue, liberation, and restoration.
We believe this idea has significance for culture as well. Cinema is one of the most powerful
storytelling languages of our time, shaping the imagination of millions of people.
Redemptus seeks to contribute to the rescue and renewal of cinema—not by withdrawing
from culture, but by entering it with imagination, excellence, and conviction.
We want to create stories that can reach beyond the Christian audience while remaining
rooted in a Christian understanding of reality.
Our goal is not simply to make Christian films. It is to make excellent films shaped by a
Christian worldview.
Our Vision
We envision a growing cultural ecosystem capable of supporting the creation, development,
production, and distribution of films and other artistic projects that bring truth, beauty, and
redemption into the cultural conversation.
From Madrid, we aim to serve Spain, Europe, and the wider Spanish-speaking world,
connecting creative talent, resources, and audiences around a shared commitment to
excellence and cultural renewal.
