The digital world is a real mission field—and gaming is one of its busiest streets.
I’m Josh Reaves, and my ministry is 100% online. Through live streaming and content creation, I play games with strangers, build real relationships, and look for moments to share the hope of Jesus. What starts as a match often turns into a conversation about what someone is carrying—fear, grief, discouragement, or questions about God.
I don’t believe this is “just gaming.” I believe God can meet people anywhere. My goal is to consistently show up in digital spaces with kindness, prayer, and the truth of the Gospel—trusting God to use simple moments to make an eternal impact.
So we’ve decided to create unique, inspiring content and experiences to help young people discover God’s purpose and empower them to live this out.
Currently, we have created the 1st EVER Esports League to train and mobilize teens to make disciples in person and online.
Josh and Rebecca Reaves are pioneering ways to reach and equip teens with the Gospel. Gen Z is in spiritual decline. More young people are leaving the church and their faith than ever before. So how do we shift the tide and help ground teens in a solid faith, plus reach other teens around the world? Studies show that teenagers who take ownership over their faith right now during high school are much more likely to remain connected to Jesus and His church. We all know that times have changed drastically. Teens today must find their purpose in God’s mission in person and online. So we reach and equip teens with the Gospel in person and through video games. We meet them where they are through school and online, build relationships, share the gospel, and train them how to reach their friends and family.
I recently met a gamer while playing online, and he shared that his mom passed away from cancer last week. In that moment, I was able to pray for him and encourage him, and it became a reminder that even in the digital world, people are carrying real grief and real burdens. I want to bless him with a $1,000 love gift to help cover immediate needs as he takes time to grieve and get back on his feet. Every dollar given will go directly to him, along with a note of encouragement and prayer. Thank you for helping us show kindness, honor his story, and remind him he’s not alone.
